…As easily spotted on Google Earth as in a crowded parking lot.

Pretty much sums up the awesomeness of a 1979 Lincoln in 7:32.

If one wanted to buy one as a usable classic, what sort of adjustments would you all make? I would try to find a more capable and efficient motor also upgrading the brakes seems like a must. Would there be any way to improve the steering feel without compromising the ride?

Also needs a good sound system.

Me personally, rebuild the engine, get it up around 400hp. To me that would be plenty, It’s a cruiser not a race car.

Put in a 4 speed transmission or add an aftermarket overdrive to the original transmission.

Looks wise lower it a little one inch or two at most.

Upgrade the brakes, maybe something off a newer Expedition or another large SUV.

For the interior I think add in a center console for cup holders and storage, a newer stereo like you said and, swap out the A/C fluid for R134.

I am sure something could be done about the steering it might be expensive though.

There isn’t much else to do in my opinion, keep it as close to stock as possible.
